Dr. Ahmad Al Shaibani, Managing Director of the International Institute for Tolerance in Dubai, has issued a decision to form a delegation headed by Brigadier General Ahmed Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Tolerance Award and Khalifa Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of Operations at the Institute. The delegation met with Tarj Larsson, President of the International Peace Institute, and Najib Freiji, Director General of the International Institute for Peace in the Middle East and North Africa, and discussed ways of cooperation and strategic partnerships between the two parties.
Al-Mansoori gave an explanation on the establishment of the Institute and the award and the various activities that he carries out and the programs he provides in order to support and promote a culture of tolerance, peace and respect for each other. He also reviewed the vision and categories of the award, which intersect with the aims of the Institute. .
The delegation also discussed ways of cooperation between the two sides, as well as discussing issues of common interest, ways of implementing joint activities, discussing common issues between the two parties and the role of the Institute and the award in contributing to global humanitarian action.
Members of the Institute's delegation thanked the President of the International Peace Institute in New York, Targ Larson, for their hospitality and good reception, stressing their interest in exchanging field visits among other institutions working in the field of tolerance and peace around the world. The relevant institutions follow best practice in the world.
